Quilter has appointed non-executive director Andrew Ross to its board Corporate Governance and Nominations committee.
The committee, chaired by Ruth Markland, now comprises Alison Morris, Andrew, Chris Hill and Neeta Atkar.
The committee is responsible for:
- Reviewing board composition and recommending the appointment of new directors;
- Considering succession plans for the chairperson, other board positions and executive leadership positions;
- Monitoring corporate governance issues; and
- Overseeing the annual board performance review.
Andrew has served on the Quilter board since 1 January 2026. He also chairs the board of Quilter Cheviot, the group’s discretionary fund management and financial planning subsidiary, and is a non-executive director of Polar Capital Holdings and Cadogan Settled Estates.
Andrew brings extensive experience in wealth and asset management, having spent his career in the investment industry. He began as a private client investment manager at James Capel before progressing to senior leadership positions, including CEO roles at HSBC Asset Management (Europe) and Cazenove Capital Management, and Global Head of Wealth Management at Schroders.
Following his executive career, Ross chaired Witan Investment Trust for four years until its 2024 merger with Alliance Trust, after which he served as deputy chair of the combined entity, Alliance Witan.
