Deborah (Debbie) Klein has been appointed as chair of MultiChoice‘s remuneration committee (remco), effective 1 April 2024.
She takes over from Jim Volkwyn, who will remain as a member of the committee.
Debbie was appointed as an independent non-executive director at the African media company’s AGM on 24 August 2023 and took on the role effective 1 September 2023.
She also serves as non-executive director at The Guardian and Nationwide Building Society and has previously held the role of group chief Marketing, Corporate Affairs and People Officer at Sky, a European media and entertainment company that is part of the Comcast Corporation. Prior to that she was chief executive for Europe and Asia Pacific at The Engine Group and had roles in strategy and insight at Saatchi & Saatchi and Nielsen.
Debbie holds a bachelor’s in Business Science from the University of Cape Town and has completed the Harvard Business School‘s Advanced Management Programme.
