Chen Hao has been appointed as a member of the Tharisa climate change and sustainability committee. This follows his appointment as a non-executive director of the organisation, effective 1 October 2023. He takes on the role vacated by Zhongliang Hong.

Chen Hao has been appointed as a member of the Tharisa climate change and sustainability committee. This follows his appointment as a non-executive director of the organisation, effective 1 October 2023.

Chen, who will also serve on risk committee, represents Fujian Wuhang Stainless Steel, which holds 8.8% of Tharisa’s issued share capital with voting rights as at 31 August 2023.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in micro-electronics from Fudan University and has more than 18 years’ experience as an engineer, foreign trade manager and general manager. He has been the GM at Fujian Liju Logistics Company in China since September 2014, prior to which he was a foreign trade manager at Guangxi Shenglong Metallurgy.

He has also worked at APEX Information Services, Calvin Wireless, the University of Viginia, the Tandon School of Engineering, at the University of New York, and the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Chen takes the role vacated by Zhongliang Hong, who resigned as a non-executive director and member of the risk and climate change and sustainability committees, effective 30 September 2023.
