Sola David-Borha has become a member of the Standard Bank Group’s social, ethics and sustainability committee, with effect from 1 July 2024.

She will also sit on the Standard Bank Group (SBG) and The Standard Bank of South Africa audit, and risk and capital management committees.

Until recently, Sola served as chief executive of Africa Regions, Standard Bank Group with responsibility for 19 countries across sub-Saharan Africa (excluding South Africa). She has also held the chief executive role at Stanbic IBTC Holdings and Stanbic IBTC Bank, over her 20-year career in the financial services industry.

She currently sits as a non-executive director (NED) on the board of Stanbic IBTC Holdings and is an independent NED on the board of Coca-Cola HBC AG.

Sola holds an Advanced Management programme certification from Harvard Business School and the Global CEO programme of CEIBS, Wharton and IESE. She is an honorary senior member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and is currently a PhD candidate at SOAS University of London.
